Cesc Fabregas relishing Arsenal’s chance to show that it is more than a match for the best team in the world tonight’s UEFA Champions League quarter-final against Barcelona.
At 22 years, is a major doubt for the first leg against the United Arab Emirates club. However, manager Arsene Wenger gives his skipper every chance to recover from a leg and knee contusion, and Fabregas is desperate to be fit enough to play.
Fabregas says he is the most exciting moment of his career and now wants to be brilliant.
He says not to disguise his affection for Barcelona. It’s where he was brought up and where he learned so many nice things about football, he said in an interview with The Sun. Fabregas said that Arsenal have the same principles and this is their chance to show the world that can stand shoulder to shoulder with Barcelona and goes triumphantly. You can not imagine how much he wanted to be part of it.
The Spaniard added: “Individually you want to demonstrate against the biggest players in the world and Barcelona. They are a team full of some of the best players in the world So you want to show you can play against them. There’s nothing better . To be honest it is the most exciting moment of my career and now want to be brilliant.”
He added that Barcelona is one of the best teams in the world, so if you can avoid them until the end, it is definitely much better, but not afraid of anybody.
